Welcome to survival of week 37-25. Winter put on a show with high winds and rain this week, so we just tidied up old jobs and completed them for inspection.
- Finally finished a Steep roof Hybrid install in Brunswick East
- Tidied up a job in Essendon with more cement sheet around the battery
- finalized the battery backup in yarraville
Steep Roof Brunswick East
Finally got back to this job in the weather to finish and finalize the installation, it has been difficult to book a clear day without rain and wind to put solar panels on the steep roof. We just had to break it into favourable days, one Sunday to lay the rail and one late afternoon before sunset to lay the panels on separate weeks. This week, while it was light rain and high winds we commissioned the battery and backup power.
**Tesla Powerwall 3 (Essendon) **
Tidied up this job with the remaining stickers and cement sheet around the battery as the previous week we worked into the night to upgrade the main switchboard for the backup circuits and ran out of time to complete the job.
iStore Battery (Yarraville)
Finalized the backup circuits and power for the istore battery we installed a previous week as it took 4 hours to get the cabling inside the wall so it would be a neat finish next to the front door without unsightly conduit. This commitment took us into the night with power off for 4 hours in the afternoon while we divided circuits in the switchboard for the new battery backup.
takeaways
We found loose terminals on the existing fronius inverter and tightened them, thanks to a quality inverter it didn't cause damage over the last 5years or so, but it was limiting how much the customer could produce, so if your system doesn't reach capacity in summer worth asking your installer. This system will produce more and do a nice job of looking after the customers needs now.
It might take us extra time but you get what you pay for with trusted installers
