Battery Heating Pads
Need to charge from the grid for the 3 hours of free power? Want to charge your battery from solar in cold weather?
Lithium batteries need to be a set temperature for maximum charging and discharging, so if you need to charge your batteries at a high rate, you need to be able to keep your batteries at a set temperature, not too cold, not too warm. In the cooler regions of Victoria and Tasmania we require the batteries to have heating pads to keep them warm in the colder months if you want them to operate at optimum levels without limits.
When buying a battery system, look for the feature of battery warming pads. Keeping your battery in the garage is no substitute for maintaining a good temperature at the cell level.
